Mr. Luke Lloyd-Davies
Luke Lloyd-Davies is the Chief Operating Officer of Rocket Entertainment Group, owned by Sir Elton John and David Furnish, and an Emmy Award winning producer.
With over 23 years of driving change and innovation at Rocket Entertainment across a multitude of sectors, Luke is a skilful communicator, negotiator, operator and leader of change As a partner and share holder of Rocket Music he was responsible for nurturing and representing new talent including Ed Sheeran, James Blunt and Lily Allen. In addition, Luke and Sir Elton co-founded Rocket Sports Management in 2012, with a vision to create unforgettable sporting moments for athletes, rights holders and partner organisations, leveraging the IP of brand names such as Ford, Breitling, Nivea, Vodaphone, Lexus and TAG. Luke is now Chairman of Rocket Sports and was instrumental in a recent bio-pic project they are producing with Billie Jean King, Ridley Scott Associates and ESPN.
In 2018 Luke was responsible for the launch and on-going management of Elton John’s ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road’ World Tour, unrivalled at its time as the highest grossing tour of all time, it was the first ever tour to gross just over $930 million, winning numerous awards along the way including Top Rock Tour (Billboard 2019/2020), Tour of the Year (2020 iHeart Radio Music Award) and Major Tour of the Year Award (Pollstar 2020). During this time Luke set up ground breaking partnerships with Snickers, John Lewis, Vodafone and Alliance for Lifetime Income, generating sponsorship income of over $10m dollars.
In January 2024 Luke won an Emmy for his work as an Executive Producer alongside Elton John and David Furnish for the historic three-hour Disney+ Global Livestream of Elton John’s final North American Tour Show at Dodger Stadium in November 2022; a live special produced with Fulwell73 and Rocket Entertainment. He is also an Executive Producer on ‘Never Too Late’ – the official Elton John Documentary that premiered at the Toronto Film Festival on September 6th 2024 in collaboration with Disney +.
Today, Luke heads up Sir Elton and David Furnish’s Global Private Office and the Rocket Entertainment Group. He is on the family investment committee and is a Director of Rocket Music, Rocket Pictures, Rocket Sports, Rocket Stage and the Elton John Optical Company as well as their Charitable Trust.
Luke has served on the Governing Body of the Royal Academy of Music, was on the advisory board of Metro Bank Plc and a senior advisor to an early stage venture fund called the Venture Collective. He lives in Cranleigh with his wife Jules, three children and two dogs. He loves sport, travel and venture.
